Osaka City Central Public Hall, an important cultural property that has been loved by Osaka citizens for over 100 years and has been deeply involved in the development of culture and the arts.
Osaka City Central Public Hall was completed in 1918. It has hosted lectures by famous people from various fields such as Einstein and Helen Keller, as well as operas and concerts by international artists, and has contributed to the development of culture and the arts in Osaka for over a century.
A historic building that has been beautifully revived by combining the design of a prestigious public hall with modern technology.
In 2002, the preservation and restoration work was completed after three and a half years. In addition to preserving it as a historical building and restoring it to its original condition, we have also carried out seismic retrofitting to give the old building high earthquake resistance and installed new ramps and elevators to meet the needs of the times and make it usable for future generations. The venue has been renovated to be more user-friendly and attractive for various events and parties.
Venue Introduction
Large Assembly Hall
The magnificent interior can be used to meet a variety of needs, such as concerts, lectures, and various ceremonies. A large hall with over 1,000 seats. A venue that symbolizes the public hall, with a focus on the appearance of the time of its construction down to the smallest detail, such as modern chandeliers, gold leaf-covered stage edges, and luxurious curtains.
Medium Assembly Hall
The design is reminiscent of a European palace, and the precious chandeliers and stained glass that have been left as they were at the time of its construction create a luxurious space. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, from parties with catering and ceremonies to lectures and exhibitions.
Small Meeting Room
The calm wooden interior and colorful stained glass make this a great place for small lectures, exhibitions, seminars, and other events. The venue is equipped with a grand piano and has a classy atmosphere.
Special Room
The special room, which was used as a VIP room when the hall was first built and has a magnificent atmosphere, can be used for high-class meetings, photography, exhibitions, and more. It can also be used as a waiting room for guests when holding events in the adjacent medium meeting room.
